Oar and Explore is an all-women, majority-Muslim boat club based on the Limehouse Cut in Tower Hamlets. Founded in 2022 in partnership with Poplar HARCA, the club works to remove the cultural, financial, and social barriers that can prevent women from accessing water sports. Since launch, it has trained nine certified female instructors and engaged over 120 women in paddle sessions, offering low or no-cost sessions with no swimming ability required, for women from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

As part of our Social Value programme, Olli Group recently completed a package of pro bono works to improve the club's facilities. Our team adjusted the canoe storage brackets to better fit the equipment, reconfigured the front door access system, and enhanced site security, all delivered free of charge to help protect the charity's assets and keep the facility running smoothly.
